Lake Dallas is a small town with many lakeside properties that are perfect for relaxation. It’s located in North Texas, just north of the city of Dallas and has access to one major body-of water – Lewisville Lake! As of the census in 2000 there were 6,166 people living within 2261 households and 1666 families; 89.51% were white 3%, black 0%. Additionally other races made up 9%, native american 7%. And finally Hispanic/Latino accounted for 33%-38%.

The data from this survey demonstrates that about two thirds (66%) of all households were made up single persons, while another third contained families with children under 18 years old. Additionally it showed there is a high percentage for married couples living together at 56% in total – 12%. Lastly the age range went downest to 26 where individuals had no spouse present or if they did then their combined ages exceeded 65 which could be 66.

The North Texas Tollway Authority has completed a new bridge in August 2009 linking Lake Dallas and Little Elm, Texas. The heavily-used Swisher Road Bridge will now allow drivers to easily cross over the widen highway that separates them from each other without worrying about traffic or wait time on an old structure removed decades ago when USACE expanded Lewisville Dam.”
