The history of Balch Springs is full of mystery and intrigue. The area was first settled in the 1840s, when settlers began to move into south Mesquite near Mr. John M Balch’s property which had springs that ran year-round from their natural watersource on his land; locals soon after referred these “Balche Springs.” A county school was named after them because it offered education services like textbooks for students living nearby – one more sign how much this small town meant at one point!

Balch Springs began as a small community along with the rest of Dallas County. To avoid being incorporated into larger cities like it was neighborly for them, residents voted in favor on June 13th 1953 to become an independent city that encompassed what is now known locally – including Zipp City Five Points Jonesville Triangle area near Rylie Kleberg . There are six voting districts within these borders which represent approximately three thousand people each! By 1960 census data this population had grown so much more than before due largely because many families were moving here from other parts or states looking greener pastures.
